Solving the Problem
The problem we have identified is that there is room for investing in renewable energy but its so expensive. One product that could solve this problem is a phone case or laptop case that has small solar panels on them that can charge the device.

ReplyDeleteGetting people to invest in renewable energy is quite difficult because there aren't too many people willing to pay for their future in such a way. I like the idea of the built in solar panels though! I think its a fantastic idea considering almost every person has a phone. If we could make cases that featured this, we would already be helping tremendously. Maybe even partnering with Apple and Samsung, or Verizon and AT&T.

ReplyDeleteI think the idea of installing solar panels in laptop and phone cases is brilliant. In this technological era, giving a user the ability to use their device for longer by simply allowing your device to make contact with UV rays for an affordable price would be a great product As for the investment side, with renewable energy being as important as it can be, I believe finding investors directly interested in renewable energy products would be willing to invest in such an idea, if affordable for consumers.

ReplyDeleteI only think tapping in to this market is so expensive because there isn't enough competition, there aren't enough resources and we're lacking research in these areas. I think that a lot more can be done with solar panels and using them to charge items that everyone uses every single day could be a really good start. There definitely should be more resources on small levels to diminish our carbon footprint.

ReplyDeleteThis idea has already been expanded upon, not necessarily in that sense but with blocks to charge your phone with being equipped with solar panels for charging. This could act to break down the barrier to entry that currently exists in the renewable energy market. We would have to find investors and be able to market these cases so they appeal to the customers of these phones and laptops. If you could pull it off it would play a big part in the development of renewable energy in the future.
